There is no hurry to catch awolees. If they are overseas, no
point hunting down for them. If they are in Singapore, the longer
they are away, the harsher is the punishment, plus you got to clock
the same NS time as well.
RSAF is very kind, I heard about 1 ex-technician who now lives in
Bangkok and served his ICTs with the RSAF detachments when they are
in thailand. That was some years ago, and if that were true, it
really is a win-win situation.
