3rd TPT Bn is a very low profile reservist Bn. You have to train
together with the reservist operators during their in-camps. Sea
Terminal Operators are train to operate forklift, mobile crane,
chain saws, and methods of lashing up cargoes on ships.
The Bn works very closely with the navy. As an operator, during
exercises or crisis you need to follow the navy landing ship out to
sea to perform loading and unloading of cargoes.
No training, no reservists, no guard duties, very switch off > 8
to 5.
