How effective is SAF hotline and MFU

Got anyone here tried calling SAF Hotline or Mindef Feedback Unit to complain about Superiors before..?

How effective was it?

I try calling SAF hotline twice and they told me to go through chain of command..totally crap.

its the SAF, u need to go through the chain of command....

but got short cut... its called MP.

the hotline is open ONLY AFTER THE DEATH OF OUR NSFs appeared in the NEWS/TV/MEDIA... then defence minister call for actions to prevent.

anyway, some pple think they can use the hotline to shoot their superiors easily.... read: abuse of use. minor minor thing also complain.... thats y the hotline now like useless as the SOP is always go thru chain of command... army is regimental... not like at home, kena scold, go hide behind grandma...

when i hear about soldiers calling the SAF hotline to complain, it makes me wonder if it's the superiors who are too harsh, or whether the soldier is just a weakling.

Looking at how the army conducts training now, my conclusion is....

that soldier is a weakling.

Did you ask them what they complained about?

If not, how can you conclude that they are weakling?

How will you feel if you get beaten up by your superiors and you call the hotline and the hotline people say you are a weakling?

Must it always be a case of when someone gets ill treated until he goes into hospital or attempt to commit suicide than someone will call the hotline? It will be too late by than..

beaten up/ill treatment and complaining about minor matters are two different matters.

if things are done against directives, den they haf to be brought up n actions taken... the human race shld advance forward, not gg back to the times when a few reign the top n all others r slaves, when soldiers r treated worse than dogs, when soldiers who die in training simply vanish frm the surface of the earth w/o redress or die unreported, when soldiers eat rock rice...

the hotline is 24 hours. i wonder how true is that?

i know how call centers works and in most cases after office hours, the hotline will get routed to a handphone will the person will take home. so even there are calls at nights it will be answered from that person's home.

so in the case of the SAF Hotline, i wonder what will happen if someone calls at night, say 3am. Laughing

Not sure about that..but I did try calling at about 10pm and someone picked up..

Maybe you can try calling the hotline at 3am and than tell us what happen..You say you want to commit suicide and see whether they will send a whole group of police officers and civil defence forces down anot..lol

Never call before so no idea,but from what i have heard and seen from forum,i think it serve as a wayang line only,and i think writing to MP for army things also useless ,cause MP where got so free bother about one little NSF or his parents,maybe if your parents is some big shot ,it might work loh,how come sooo many people think writing to MP got use??????
If got money and kena abuse in camp,i think searching for a lawyer might work loh,conclusion is,if u r rich ,u can do anything,u r poor then LL loh

minor matters are still problems. if you go through chain of command, minor matters will just get lost. much good it will do.

of course big matter will prob get suppressed in chain of command Laughing

in my NSF days (which wasnt that long ago), a PTE asked his parents to go n bang table in CMPB.

he lied about his PES status and all... but the CO still posted him out immediately... which was wat he wanted in the first place.

i just wanna say that the papa and mama power is still quite powerful. Laughing
