the food is always better when i do duty on wkends, cos its not cooked in bulk

if u get the bottom of the pot, u get over cooked vegetables n dry, if u get the bottom of the pot, u get uncook vege but bery oily

but anyways, during my active times, i always lunch out, only trainees eat cookhse food,

not buns, but high-class buns.
it's those long, rectangular Gardenia buns with sweet paste inside, like vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. quite good life liao.
last time i always stun a lot back home.......so much that my family don't need to buy bread from the neighbourhood confectionary!!!!!!!! the idea is : when you're in SAF, try to suck value from them. Twisted Evil Embarassed Very Happy

I seriously hate the food in SAF. But i wld like to say think it back if u go to war u still have to chew tree barks. Dun be choosy. The food that u and i or other men that has been through NS has eaten are better then those food that 3rd world ppl are eating everyday. When i was at vietnam for business trip, at this "restaurant" near my hotel. Every evening i see kids which are being handicapped by local "Begging" syndicates, crawling or limping to tables for money...i dun think they have chicken wings or even bee hoon to eat...i'm sure they won't mind chicken wing everyday. Smile

Actually u may not noe but every meal, they got calculate the nutritional level like how many calories la etc. (Saw the nutitional values list b4)

So while it may look oily, but actually many times quite healthy de
Every meal submited must met with the standards required for a solider needs

u cant do that cause it may risk food poisoning =)

Breakfast ard $2.65
Lunch and Dinner $4.95
1st and 2nd nitesnack $1.60

No chance of that coz a central system is better for controlling

Like some forumers say here, SFI cant please everyone
If they serve milk and soya milk, everyone will KPKB everytime
and some ppl are latose intolerance so not fesible

aniway if u tink coloured sugar water is unhealthy for u
there are always iced water available for u

the messing warrant and his boyz will go thru
coz if the food comments are really bad, they will speak with the SFI ppl for a change

But at times, we moderate comments
Sometimes we also get interesting comments like

To those already posted in units. If u hate the camp food so much, just tell ur ration ic not to indent ur meal lor. so u no need pay

yea i've being to the army alright, just that i served the NS of my birth place instead, 28 months stint with 4 season, its too bad you guys have to lan lan and suck it up, a first world country with a first world system serving up junk food to their NS soldiers.. tsk tsk..

Just to let you all know.

I hang around with a lot of athletes

Just because you exercise a lot, it does NOT give you the liberty to eat whatever you desire especially in large quantities.

YES.You are still susceptible to high blood pressure and bad cholestrol levels.I know several athletes who ate whatever they wanted to and thought they could get away with it.I have encountered such cases.

Some of whom i know became diabetics even after they have pursued their sports, due to poor dietary habits.Too many deep-fried, carciogenic and processed food laden with trans-fats, refined sugar and fatty meat.

One should not justify serving such crappy food just because the other countries cannot afford.All the more knowing that, you should strive to do better for your people.If i raped someone can i also justify by saying at least i did not kill her?

You know its rather ironic having an IPPT test then serving unhealthy food?

If you are fit, it doesnt mean you are healthy and vice versa.

and lets not forget that there are people with MEDICAL AILMENTS serving in the NS.The food would aggravate their condition.
