from my understanding, infantry pioneer are engineer-trained
infantry, think 1 Bn have 1 platoon of infantry pioneer.
main task to overcome obstacles during advance, mainly mine field
using PLC, etc and set up obstacles during defence, things like
triple conc, 10 coils, etc.
from what i heard, aside from the course, the active infantry
pioneer are usually sai kang warrior cos Bn Comd usually got no
idea when to use them or how to deploy them..
please correct me if i'm wrong, heard this almost 10 years ago
