I think the idea of military training should be to produce an
armed force that is effective in combat, and in combat, do not
expect your enemies to talk to you in Queen's English, nor anything
remotely understandable. (Excuse me my good man, would be so kind
as to lay down your arms and submit to our armed forces' invasion
of your beautiful island nation?)
I think not.
The context in which the rule of non mentioning of sex organs or
any expletives must be viewed in a way that it may cut away with
all that distraction of colourful language, and to focus the
trainee's attention onto what is important: de-balling the
opponent.
However, I find it unacceptable for 50M SOC to be conducted. That
in my most honest opinion belongs in the realm of school going kids
with nothing better to do after classes.
We are in relatively peaceful times (take away US, M.E, North
Korea, Sri Lanka, etc etc) but come real crisis, our fathers and
grandfathers may have to do our dirty work for us. I don't have the
luxury of that, I'm only speaking for the younger ones and the
orphans and occassional weirdos.
