No idea why people say the goretex boots are lousy 
I'm using them, and like them just fine. Btw, I war
them almost everyday, as work shoes with tie and long sleeved
shirt. you won't be able to tell them between formal shoes and
boots unless you stare at my shoes. and no idiot goes down to stare
at your shoes. *grin* saved me lotsa money. and if I have to walk
over uneven ground, no prob with those boots of mine.
