1SG (or soon-to-be 1SG) Calvary:
With all due respect, I'm not sure how you can get to be a 1SG
without having your blood taken or a single IV cannulation done by
a medic over all these years.
Men who have gone overseas must undergo HIV testing upon their
return. I should know, because I've taken blood samples from lots
and lots of men upon their return from Lancer and Crescendo.
And if you have been warded in the sickbay of your unit, then
chances are that you would have undergone IV cannulation.
And even if you have never been overseas or warded, I would have
thought that you would have been jabbed against tetanus on your
enlistment day.
So please take it like a man - a 23G needle in the medical center
hurts a lot less than a 5.56mm round on the battlefield.
With regards,
