Must be xin jiao rite? Take it easy man...
I never kenna before, but everytime games day I kenna arrow to be
tug of war IC, after one batch where my coy got in first where I
was involved... sian man.
gone were the days of BMT whereby one must
pass IPPT to pass out
pass SOC (if not, block leave must come back retake)
pass Range (shoot until u pass on the last day)
3 weeks of confinement
7 days of fieldcamp whereby u really stay outfield for the whole 7
days without going back to bunk.
go for 24km route march the night before your POP at 9pm unitl
4/5am in the morning.
carries garang looking duffel bag instead of sissy looking ones
with wheels.
go all the way back to tekong after block leave just to get your
uit posting.
recuit pay is only $350.
By the time I was recruit in June 2004 it
was:
no need to pass IPPT (but block leave
must come back retake)
no need to pass SOC (but block leave threatened also)
range try to pass, if not keep reshooting... if not join other
company... is not your sar-geant "magic pen" until you pass to
maintain BMTC ISO 9000
3 week confinement
Still 7 day full outfield.
24 km route march from 8pm-4am, rest few hours, then POP
lohhhh....
One of the first batchs to use duffel bag... I don't mind it,
because it's really a more pratical way to carry your kit. Dun have
to dig all the way into your bag to retrieve an item at the
bottom.
Internet posting liao!
Pay still $350 leh!
Can throw and beat up commanders (but dun get caught).
2 years, 2 months NS liability.
When I became an instructor and in the time of my recruits
in late 2005-mid 2006 it was:
No need to pass IPPT, go next unit and
carry on.
"Introduction" to SOC, passing desirable but not necessary
range sure pass one, thanks to SAF's magic pen system (for the
really hopeless).
2 week confinement (more like 1.5 weeks actually)
Same 7 day outfield leh, the ones that go back to bunk are the PES
C and like, PES A, B batches still do the full field camp.
24 click route march starts early, ends early. 4pm-12am, book out
for weekend to bring back stuff then book back in to POP (I don't
really mind because my recruits usually buy back a lot of food to
share with us as a farewell gift )
Smart 4 new standard is 4 fingers above the elbow (aka. what was once
considered the @#$% 4)... er xing man...
Internet Posting
Pay still $350.
