China is not practical. Too many political and military issues
to iron out.
Getting cosy with China will make our Western partners more
cautious in dealing with us for fear that we might leak information
to the Chinese.
China does not have open access to as many US and European defense
technologies as we do. If we start training in China, the most we
can bring over are Infantry and small arms. Larger more
technologically advanced pieces of equipment like tanks and attack
helicopters are governed by technology transfer agreements etc...
If we send these to China, the US and Europe will stop transfering
technology to us as by bringing advanced stuff to China, the
Chinese will have gained a means of getting specific intel on
sensitive weapons.
