Maybe in other countries( US),vocation may matter more, but in SG,i think the jobs that a guy is holding,as well as his salary matter alot more.

fudgester SG

What makes us men is the number of round things you have between your legs.

As long as you have two, then we are equal.

What has vocation/rank/appointment got anything to do with it?

Marco_Simone SG

Do you know a clerk in the US Marine Corps is a good marksman???
In the USMC,everyone(whether you are F18 pilot, computer geek, cook, dentist etc) are first and foremost an infantryman.

insouciant SG

Ditto!

vocation???? looking down on logistics pax???? just on the army context...

WW2, almost if not all germen officer no matter what vocation were log trained before given power to lead in the front. they lost the war on logistics.

look at today US army, almost lost all war due to logistics. one can have the best army in the world but without elite log support, you are nothing, run out of ammo, ration etc... well you decide.

sad to say we have kuku CQ, RQ, QM, Head Log....
