Kuali Baba SG

Just a week to go and I still haven't received the collar badge. Confused

Gordonator SG

my brother came back today with the collar badge and formation badge to be sewed. formation badge is velcro type.

now everyone in the army will look like christmas tree. Laughing

wuming78 SG

the olive green is really an eye-sore. even my mother commented that they look ugly. Sad

martin_lim85 SG

ya it looks ugly!!! like every sees ur name and unit by looking at ur no.4 Evil or Very Mad

ken_nerve SG

I was told to sew this non-velcro badge on my right collar.

LazerLordz SG

So this is the vocation badge. Doesn't tell much other than that you are from Armour.

Guess I was right, they implemented something, and made a half-fcuked effort in doing so. It's not that hard to design individual badges for Armoured Infantry, Armoured Scouts, Tank Commanders etc... Rolling Eyes

Hellraiza SG

I agree. Arms badge should be soldier-specific. I mean, how would you feel if even the almost-non-existent storeman wears the same crossed bayonets as a rifleman who chiongs almost everyday?!

ken_nerve SG

If thats the vocation badge, than whats gonna be my formation badge?

Gordonator SG

good question. not sure about other units but my bother from 6SIR wears the infantry collar badge and a 2PDF formation badge.

LazerLordz SG

That would be the parent Division/Formation you belong to.

Like for e.g if you are a Pioneer, but you are in 3 SIG. Then your formation badge will be 3rd DIV.

kuekj SG

Hm, so the vocation badge on the collar is to be sewed on the RIGHT collar?

I also have No3 uniform and was told to pin the silver glossy vocation pin on the collar but not too sure which collar...

Gordonator SG

it's on the right.
