Housing options for someone who doesn't want to get married

Hi there people, all I know about housing is that you have to be 35 and above to buy a HDB if you're not married. I don't want to marry, and I want to live alone, so I would like to know whether there are affordable options for me.

I agree renting is still the best while young.

Rents for HDBs are steadily coming down (only SCs can now rent entire units, e.g. foreigners can rent rooms only) If you can't afford an entire unit yourself, I suggest taking a part-time/weekend job and start by renting together with 1 or 2 buddies; preferably with similar interest ^^ as yourself.

I used to own two properties back in Sweden, one condo, and one landed. However "owning" didn't make myself or my marriage look any happier, haha (I'm 35 now by the way)

So young and making plans. Good on you. Probably can rent and save till you are 35 before purchasing a HDB else saving up to get a small condo when property prices drop will also be a novel plan.

Life in sg is cruel to singles as they want you to get married and increase population.

Either rent or buy singles flat or longkang.

aye... I thought singles must share flat if purchase from HDB, like 2 single persons co-own 1 flat...abit gay like that if both same gender.
