when i went wallaby last year, about a quarter of my platoon were
excused outfield, weapons or range, and we all still had to go, we
all had to draw arms, and we all had to draw blanks.

It is precisely such situation that we are concerned of,imagine
such things already happened in peace time training;what would
happen in war.The last thing that any soldiers' mind is not be
harmed unnecessarily if not stupidly uncalled situation.
Sometimes we really wonder what are standard procedures for?Is it
only a guideline but not necessarily to follow?Or higher ranks can
change it anytime, anywhere if not anyhow???
When they are being told to go ahead, can they refused;or even asked
whoever involved(to the highest rank) to write down statements
stating they are willing to bear all consequences and email it to
their family member as a safekeep.
In any situation where they refuse, will they be charged for not
obeying orders? When they are being clear of their charge after
being charge,will they be compensated?
No parents in this world would raised their sons and daughters so
that their well being,if not lives can be harmed or wasted in such
uncalled situation.
Last but not least, you should be mindful of your own safety and
well being,as only you and your body will bear the impact of your
injuries and unjust consequences.
THERE IS SIMPLY NO SUBSTITUE FOR FEELING HURT,NOT EVEN YOUR
SHADOW!!!!
