wa... cos i know if kanna bmtc sch pop sure become sgt or officer since sgt always kanna from officer and men might as well be officer rite? cos i last time used to be a regular police officer does this help in being selected for ocs or sispec then cross over to ocs? i going in soon veri scared Sad

think regular can, for those very very promising ones. they will also send u for diploma or degree courses as well (since u're promising enough).....

the idea of minimum entry requirement is cos SAF wants all leaders to be graduates (diploma is allowed since can quite easily upgrade to degree).

sorry. i dun really understand. how old r u? how come u was a regular police officer n now going to enlist for army bmt? when u signed on for police, shouldnt u have completed ur bmt in police academy?? Confused

no. those who qualify for sispec also will go there, unless u're confirmed mono-intake at SIR/SCE etc.

my coy was full of PhD's (poly halfway dropout). many went on to sispec. Wink

hehe im 25 this year i first sign on as a regular police officer when im 20 but i left 4 more months to complete for 5 years and due to some persoanl reasons quit the force and since i never complete the 5 years i have to severe ns again cos the 5 years bond got include ns liability . that is called minimum term of engagement.

u need a full 'A' level cert, a recognised diploma or degree to sign on as officer.

me cross over from sispec one last time. and the criteria to cross over is v vage. my friend and i both went for the interview to cross over. FYI, i last time (back in sispec) ippt pass only, SOC 10:29 cross over.. friend gold, SOC 8 :30 nv cross over. so u say leh? siao one.. the SAF is one screwed up place. u planning to sign on?

lol hmm i dont plan to sign on but at least i hope to be commissioned . Btw spf is worse then saf 100 times i can swear hard if they want to condem u they just use their mighty pen and mouth to do the work thats all and u will be condemmned to eternity for the rest of your carrer if u regular thats the problem dont like too many backstabbers. btw spf workload is liike shit all the senior SO like to taiji to the jo and kanna somemore veri hard to siam an in the end as usual they took the credit . I know saf also samiliar but just regret to sign on spf its just a civil service and its a servant not a officer where everyone thought got power its like the outter look only

i not sure whether they recognise certs from SIM anot. wat exactly is ur qualification? u mentioned u have only 'O' levels n now u asking abt SIM dip. btw, wat rank were u in SPF? everyone in SPF i oso refer them as policer officer.

oic i last time sgt my o level results qualify for poly but i used to take dip in hotel management from shatec and cmpb based on that state that i attended dip programme and pack me to bmtc sch 1 . i intend to take up dip and from there advanced or degree but i dont know saf recognise sim or not but i know teaching profession recognise sim
