Ponders SG Hmm. so if Gurkhas are protecing the IMF Venues... the Checkpoints goes to SAF to guard. And currently since there are only 1 active infantry battalion.. they kena somehow. pity them.
insouciant SG Actually, due to the IMF, the SAF is going to be very actively involved. Not enough policemen to go around. 2PDF is going to be having a REAL busy time for the next 3 weeks or so.
insouciant SG Originally posted by CuteBeat: patrolling are for dogs.so the guardsmen are dogs?so much for an ELITE force. I'd like to see you call a Gurkha "a dog" to his face. :-) Or some of the lao jiao Guards WOs whilst you are in uniform.
Hellraiza SG This fella cutebeat is the real dog, always come in here and bark...think he got something against the Guards...maybe his girl left him for a Guardsman or something. Must be one of the few who still give a damn about the Guards Vs. Commando thing...grow up alr.
Ristar SG i think u all give these NSFs too little credit. these young men have not been called upon to prove their valour in operations yet and i hope that the day never comes. but im confident that they would react by neutralising the aggressor gallantly, should such a crisis present itself.
Ponders SG I would fight to defend the homeland. But i just fear others are not with me. I don't feel that brotherhood while in SAF.
Ristar SG i believe that crisis brings out the best and the worst from everyone. i remember a quote i read before on the net, this is how it goes roughly. 100 men fighting on a battlefield... 90 arent supposed to be there in the first place, a few men have the heart but it takes only 1 to lead them all to victory. at least i hope thats how the quote goes, i read it a few years ago and its kinda in my memory, although its a lil blurzzz.
insouciant SG Have lah. Besides in a real crisis, it's their family and homes that they are protecting. Also, as studies have shown, soldiers often fight because of their buddy next to them as well.
will4 SG I was studying in NZ n wearing Guards t-shirt, the local there also knew Guards from Spore known for professionalism.
