NO! I've not "been there and done that", there are soldiers out
here who've gone through worse...but if you're talking within the
infantry then ahem... 
and anyway...i can't stand the thought of being ordered around,
with people watching your every move, waiting for you to make a
mistake and punish you. But then again it's bmt, so you gotta get
things screwed in from the start so you won't be a liability to
your fellow soldiers when things get rough. When i did my recourse
bmt in tekong, the field camp was cut down to 4 days, and we
returned back to coyline every evening to sleep. A bunch of us even
requested our pc to let us sleep outfield instead! But they were
reluctant, and i can understand why. Not worth the mosquito bites
to stay outfield when the participating strength is only 7.
