Hey guys.. I just got this letter from Mindef, and I'm not sure what it means. Does it mean I'm enlisting on that day? Or is it a second round of medicals? I did my medical on May, and got a PES A rating. Please help if you know what it means, and let me know what to expect. Thanks in advance..

1. You are hereby required under Section 9 of the Enlistment Act, (Cap 93) to report for VOCATIONAL ASSIGNMENT on **/08/2006 at **.**AM, SPECIAL OPERATIONS TACTICS CENTRE (PASIR RIS CAMP)

3. The Vocational Assessment will take about 5 hours to complete and it consists of the following:

a. Medical Examination
b. Physical Fitness Assessment

Is it true that SPECIAL OPERATIONS TACTICS CENTRE is the commando school? So is this a test to see if i’m capable of being a commando? Or is it for some other reason?

i went for the selection already..

there's nothing that you will know that you can't tell here.

in fact, i don't remember them telling us anything. Only say this selection is for commandos. that's all they say, expecting us to know what commandos do etc.
