NDU SG as for this, i dont really agree i would say this, most of us from our unit would like to be RECOGNISED! try taking to those cdo, tell them if their head dress will change to GREEN colour u see they will make noise anot .... why they dont agree?? coz, they really EARN their red beret! thats why its being RECOGNISED through out the SAF! i agree with everybody or every unit has different roles to play! and.... every roles are important! however, if he/she is being LOOK UPON, as he/she was from some unit which being rate as one of the best unit! .... then i would say that, he/she will PERFORM EVEN BETTER! or at least he/she will give 101% of what they can do! coz.... they know the whole SAF is looking at them
DriftingGuy SG Ok ok no needso many Oh ya.. theres this saying: "You can conquer the land or its mountains, but you can never defeat the sea" or something like that
Hellraiza SG Which one? Oh. You mean the one with the wings and the muscles... but no balls? Kidding, KIDDING! "say hooyah hey"
riken1974 SG It's Qi Shan Mo Qi Shui...direct translation....u can bully the mountain but never bully the sea.....think it's a slogan from the Taiwan UDG....can see that in NDU cookhouse...NDU should know...
bendito.L SG why would you wanna compare the 2 units since they have diff AO and are from diff branches of the military at the end of the day they are the ones who would defend this land if the need arises with each of them doin their jobs
NDU SG not all guyz will attend taiwan diving course (we actually call it taiwan seal course) actually, all 5/5 sgt will have a chance to go for over sea course, some will go aust, some go U.S some go taiwan and etc the best part is, alot of ppl attend the taiwan course and complaint its SIONG and no freedom! gonna behave like a rec down there and really kena whack like he.ll!!! and end of the course .... kekekekek THEY ARE NOT ALLOW TO WEAR IT as for me, im abit lucky, manage to go U.S allowance also better
riken1974 SG So I assumed you went thru BUD/S...I really pity those who went thru Taiwan UDG course but dun get as much recognition as BUD/S...heard from my friend...her husband who went thru the Taiwan UDG course...heard about the Tian Tan Lu "Road to Heaven"...which make me think that the Taiwan instructors are all physcopath...only manage to c a few with the Taiwan UDG badge...actually got one went together with me to Aus for submarine escape trg...
NDU SG bro, heard b4 singaore NDU guyz kena charge by Taiwan M.P??? really got charge u know u saw them wearing it on their no. 3??? u sure??? actually.... they are not allow to wear it in public!!!! .... but... that was during my time lah.... now i dont know
NDU SG u want to hear a joke.... u know, in taiwan, their maj, col etc was having MEI HUA at their shoulder.... and this goes like that.... one fine day, while they are having training.... a MEI HUA walk towards those Taiwan seal.... and some of the singapore trainnee was there as well.... and suddenly, the instructor shout!!!! ZHUN!!!!! ... AND THAT FEW SINGAPORE DIVER REALLY '''' ZHUN''''' kekekekeke their ZHUN!!! was SALUTE!!!!
riken1974 SG I was from the navy....they did wear it on their No.3 and overalls...only saw them wearing it in camp...either for seminar in naval bases or in sembawang camp..
NDU SG ok...maybe nows day more relax anyway, if you want to see all A team guyz wear all those funny funny kutu (badges) you can see them during Navy day (at sembawang) .... how many of them.... you can count lor
gd4u SG SWG bagde looks funny meh ?? Well, Taiwan training is tougher because there is a reality of War happening anytime, right? Here? ??
NDU SG what i mean funny ...is... alot of rare BAGDES u will get to see! for what i know, there are only 2 ppl having SAS bagdes, and all are from NDU
rebelray SG I think that both are equally tough. It is like comparing the U.S. Navy SEALS and the Army Special Forces or the British SBS and the SAS. The NDU is an elite unit too. I have great respect for them. But during my hell week in the commandos, I did not have more than 10 mins of sleep total.
