Typically, officers disciplinary matters are dealt with by the
CO, not the RSM these days. However, the key words you can read
from some of the articles refer to junior officers. I've seen RSMs
reprimand younger officers quite frequently - those
lieutenants.
If you see the RSM salute you, a junior officer for no reason, you
know its a preface to a scolding. My previous RSM would sedia
himself, fire off a salute and then proceed with 'Sir, ...'. Surely
kenna from CO later. Happens sometimes.
