Dogtor SG Hey guys! After living for long-term overseas (6 years) and then return to Singapore, how soon after will you get called for reservist training? I am on the holding list, thus unit-less.
dork3d SG Depends lah... Me was overseas working for 3 years and came back in 1998, was put on holding list and until 1999 given a posting to my current NS unit for my reservist...
cairocks SG Was called back after 1/2 year since return, away for 6 years. Have friend away for 4 years, called back after 3 years since return. Also have friend never leave Sg, but only to be recalled after 7 years.
dragg SG normally one year. if they miss you and find you later you can do 2 icts within 12 months. i had a campmate who did 56 days with 12 months. damn rush!!!
dork3d SG How long you get called up for reservist really depends on your unit and manpower strength... Like mine, me get called back for two high-key ICTs every workyear, average about 17 days each...
Gordonator SG i'm still without a reservist unit. really looking forward for reservist, at least can get away from work and relax for a few days.
dork3d SG How old are you this year? Your 10 reservist years only starts from the year that you start your very first ICT leh...

dork3d SG Maybe you can try calling NSPC for enquiries... Me knew this poor guy from my unit who only started to serve his 10-year reservist at the age of 31 cos SAF forgotten about him ever since he ORDed in 1992...
