thanks kiddyduck for answering my queries. I was a former MP
too...10 years ago. That time, MPs must meet IPPT and Height
requirements, plus have no tattoos or visual impairments. The only
MPs that were allowed specs were dog handlers then. But even then,
only perfect eyesight dog handlers were posted to sensitive areas,
while the rest went to AFBs.
Visual impairment has and I believe will always be a problem for
MPs, as you should know, we deal with real cases and violence
sometimes. Hard to restrain someone if you can't see... Guess
myopia in the youth of Singaporeans have affected criterias of
selection in the army.
