Aiyah, I think the main issue is the No 4 uniform lah. Don't
realy think they bother u on the shorts, T-shirt and running shoes
bit. MP stop you just say you about to go exercise lah.
But if you wearing No 4 pants with ACDC T-shirt an your hair all
geled up to stand straight up like some of the silly boys you see
sometimes, can't quite claim you on your way to camp.
Actually I think now there is a rule that unless you on your way to
exercise or doing some heavy manual work, you even have to fold up
your sleeves to and from camp to home.
Also, for a lot of us already so sian of army, you still want to
wear clothes to remind you of army? 
Altho I have to agree the jungle hat is great for shade tho.
