First to fight for Teh Alia, and Nasi Pattaya
And to keep our siew kai fan SIO!
We are proud to claim the title of the 1st Singapore Marines.!"

Twisted Evil

Gordonator SG

just hope that they don't get arrowed to do all those sai kang like what regular RPs do. Laughing

Arena SG

Hmmmm....
I'm not a sea soldier, but all I can say is, they are almost similar to a RP....
The job is almost same...
Exception is they do operate RHIBS to provide sea security for the bases...

Not sure whether they are boarding trained....
But nowadays, may ppls claimed to be boardings trained...
But I cant say the standard is not there....

The Sea Soldiers aren't tasked for Boardings....
There are other units tasked for it...

But nontheless, the Master of these trades are still the NDU and SOF...

U can ask me why I know if I'm not one of them as I'm not a bird or a grasshopper...

edwincwq SG

I am a Sea Soldier =)

Basically its roughly the same job scope as RP, just that the training is 3mths and not 3weeks....quite alot of physical...AGR, SOC, Swimming, etc

Yes, we does alot of sai kang....cause navy has no other NSFs except us liao...

bohiruci SG

I was once a Navy man Smile

hmm sea soldier ,no other better name for them ?

Master -_- SG

then seamen? Laughing

tautology SG

oh… sea soldier… i see them almost everyday. tough training… worst then BMT and sispec. But still after course, waiting for things to happen. unless terrorist attack, no one really sure if our sea soldier can work, same as many other vocation. I am also from CDS, a small small fry only

Don© SG

haha wtf. Laughing

Gordonator SG

lao jiaos inside do desk, change pass. xin jiaos outside do sentry, Gate IC right? Laughing

Hellraiza SG

wow worse than sispec? so should they be earning inf spec pay? Laughing

o-lua SG

hahs. no la. rank allowance plus $150 lo.

life is bad.
first is going tru combat training, just like any infantry.. except more draggy and more stuffs.
worst is being labelled as rp by navy personnels, or just anyone.

and our routine life consist of burning consecutive 2 weekends in 3 weeks.
so, for 3 weeks, we will only have a full sat and sun to spent. how's tt..

and our daily activities in camp, includes like running ard every night being activated or whatever.. then we'll just chiong chiong chiong ard the base lo... on foot, on vehicles, on rhibs..

will4 SG

I felt it is more appopriate for sea soldier to be named as Navy MP.

riken1974 SG

Dun you think their Navy Seal qualified C.O is abit too over qualified to be their C.O??

Gordonator SG

so bad? Shocked

morale must be very low.

o-lua SG

eh, wrong.. there's real mp in defence squadrons.
they work side by side with us.
though they normally do the pass offices lo.

the training seasoldier went tru is nth mp also.. except the law enforcements stuff, and we can use mg.
other than there, we do more combat-inclined stuff, like fibua, section live firing.. blabla..
then when we graduate, we row from changi naval base to kallang mrt in the big black rubber dinghy.. trust me.. it's worse than walking 32 km try going 25-30 km by arm power only... and not forgetting the current can keep pushing you back went.. so sometimes the distance rowed is increased..

LazerLordz SG

MPs? These chaps train like combatants man..

"Marines" la.
