My CO was Maj Looi Eng Chai and my RSM was Encik Gunga.

I don't get this "welcome to hell" crap. My first OC started out with, "Well, guys, everything you heard about this place is true", and even better, my second OC's briefing went, "OK guys, I'll treat you like pros if you act like pros. Any questions? Dismissed". The job's interesting enough as it is - where's the need for extra drama?

no lor... its freakin diff... we walk 24km while u all walk 72km... they say nw change 2 35km... dunno whether true anot... our soc onli 1.5km while urs is 5km... siong siong siong...

Yes it is mind over body. But sometime you really need to listen to your body else you will lose your body.

I think they need to know when to stop and how much can their body take.

To put it simply, for units such as CDO or NDU, if you’re thinking about where to stop, it’s not the place for you.

Nah, it’s not meant to be intimidating. Once you get there you’ll realise it’s just a matter of they way you look at it. If you’re thinking about stopping and looking for the finish line, you won’t be doing yourself any favours. Get on with the job and focus on it, and you’ll do fine.
