Icemoon SG lol .. that's unexpected. Anyway good point. I was thinking about the LBV and flak jacket. You from cdo right? How did you guys survive in that kind of outfit?
wuming78 SG the LBV and the flak jacket should be integrated, i.e. the flak jacket, other than serving just the protection purpose, should also be retrofitted to carrying things, so that soldiers need not wear two separate items.
NewAge SG running 2.4 will die liao still make me run with this equipment i will kill the sergant man
gaoxingdcf SG I tink run the first 0.5km,peng san already… Imagine taking all this plus field pack,SBO on route march… Die lah,MO also faint when c this kind of soldiers being stretched into the centre…
LazerLordz SG Learning navigation through GPS while at OETI.(crap few hours course) That's all. I'm the last of the 2G army.
chunyong SG totally true, imagine people shout 'take cover', then with so much htings u either slowly prone down or risk getting most of the gadgets spoilt...or when u run for cover u have so much things jutting out from ur body sure jialat one. this is on-paper feasibile, on field no lor...
decepticon25 SG i think lighter is better. running around full of kit wont do any good… we’re not the size of those huge US soldiers
chunyong SG yeah, mobility decreases significantly...u can't move abt freely without spending 1min to ensure all the powercords, sockets and stuff are plugged in or still with u anot. ahah...u spend more itme ensuring u are plugged up than ensuring u hit dat bugger with ur 5.56mm.
tankee1981 SG I am sure this is not the final product, i have seen pics of the earlier designs those even have wires around. I am sure the people from DSTA and DSO will improve on this. Maybe next time not so much of fire-movement and more of urban warfare otherwise with all the gadgets how to leopard crwl without losing or breaking something?
AE86tofu SG well if gadetry is so effective y dun US give their mrines the OICW during the iraq war? y still stick to the old and trustworthy M16 and M4A1? nothing beats the raw deal la....tts y i still prefer the M16 than the SAR21...which is just a copy of the steyr Aug
lwflee SG The M16 is FAR from trustworthy. It requires loads of cleaning and is prone to IA otherwise.
Guile SG I wonder how you do river crossing with that. Imagine the number of things u need to waterproof. Not forgetting the amount of batts required to power up those gadgets plus extra batts...not unless they are solar powered.
