because we don't know any better ourselves.
We believe in their fancy "credentials" without properly
validating. Yes, we are that shallow.
In other countries, in order to get a job, you need to prove
yourself. You are required to present your knowledge and skills
before they'll even consider you.
You may have phd, master degrees, but if you can't provide
knowledgeable answers, you're out.
We have low standards, because we are low standard.
But if we raise our yardstick, no one will come.
