POP

ilse SG

How do I know when do I POP? I'm having a 9 weeks BMT, going into army, april 7.

By 9 weeks do they mean 63 days or 9 weeks (i.e I'll POP on the same day as I book in?)

ditzy SG

After they make you walk 24 kilometres, stand in the hot sun for a few hours after the walk, and make you throw your jockey cap high in the air all in the same day. You know you've POPed. Laughing

sinicker SG

now different ah.. now is 24km.. book out, go home.. have fun a bit.. come back.. den POP. Laughing

ditzy SG

na beh, all the younger generation one getting better and better life in army. Laughing

ilse SG

eh, but does anyone know how do i know whens the exact date im going to pop?

charlize SG

sinicker SG

sinicker SG

ditzy SG

Make sure whatever commands are given, don't follow at all. Laughing

ilse SG

if it helps, let me rephrase it.

so when exactly will i be out of BMT?

charlize SG

When they tell you so. Laughing

ditzy SG

9 weeks from the day you get in. Laughing

Gordonator SG

ask your sgt loh. Laughing

ilse SG

So it should be the same day as i book in right?

week 1 apr 7-14
week 2 apr 15-21
week 3 apr 22-28
week 4 may 29-5
week 5 may 6-12
week 6 may 13-19
week 7 may 20-26
week 8 jun 29-2
week 9 jun 3-9

9 june it seems.

how long a break do i have after i come out from BMT?

tortoise55 SG

I thought its the week u enlist is count at 1st week, so if u enlisted on 7 apr, which is a friday, its still count as 1st week, cos its between 3rd apr to 9 apr. so ur pop week sld be between 29 may to 4 jun. u will have 1 week leave, which is deduct from ur 1st yr leave balance. out os army for 1 yr plus le, forget liao.

ai ya, jus ask ur sgt when having admin time. dun keep on jus keep of pop, jus enjoy urself Very Happy

ilse SG

i’m asking because i have driving test.. and i’m afraid it may clash or something.. im not that pop-enthu.. really.

ditzy SG

How could you not be pop-enthu? Tell me who in the world other than you is not pop-enthu? Laughing It just doesn't make sense.

Gordonator SG

let me ask u, POP more important or driving test more important? Laughing

ditzy SG

Driving test more important, I don't get a class 3 from POP. Laughing
