My friend used to call his platoon " F Troop" . Unofficial of
course. He was their PC and at one time, he really had a bunch of
guys who got into various accidents and incidents. Some of them
silly mistakes to the extent that it was a joke. He took the name F
Troop from some old American TV comedy series. He himself was to
blame also... so he cheerfully called himself the " F Troop
Commander".
