specfore SG I am an old soldier ... so not current. But I believe that your unit or higher HQ will give you a briefing. Usually they will also issue a list of stuff you can bring and also instructions as to what you cannot bring or do. Standard SAF procedure. Personally, having been to India on business trips ... I would bring the following (if the SAF has not told you to do so).... 1) water purification tablets 2) mosquito net 3) jungle hat ( scout hat) 4) canvas trainers (sports shoe) 5) some Indian rupees (more as a tip to villagers who are always keen to do things for you).
ryangian SG Thanks to the above reply…. more threads on this topic will be appreciated as i need all the help i can get.

LazerLordz SG it will be dusty, if you have dirt biking goggles, you may want to bring them and gaffer the straps black. The scarf and books, lots of books.
MGGUN SG No need to bring so much things want la......If you go at Feb the temp there very very very cold......bring more thicker clothes.....No need to bring too much money nothing to buy there and the best way you can spend money is in the camp itself there is a so called E-Mart......I think now they will sell all the stuffs there quite expensive because they all know we are "Cai Sheng".....Another way to spend money is calling for room service for food or snack....very cheap....... Die Die must remember....Don t anyhow eat there.....The food there very dirty......Bring more stomach pain medication there can liao......
London9 SG The Indian Army has a strange rank structure. Not only are there commissioned officers and NCOs, there are also JCOs 'Junior Commissioned Officers' who are senior to a British type WO but junior to a Second Lieutenant. Check out the attached link: http://www.bharat-rakshak.com/LAND-FORCES/Army/Ranks.html
MGGUN SG What you said reminds me of their solider…..30 over yrs old still LCP…Somemore their rank very big…Like our no. 1 uniform like that
Hellraiza SG wah...their welfare is quite good! The Government of India, has given many privileges to the Indian Armed Forces. The privileges include free train tickets and subsidised prices for house hold articles. The NCOs are authorised for free train journeys in second class compartments anywhere in India. The JCOs and Officers are authorised for first class tickets.
MGGUN SG They are really very fit….Fitter than us….....Just look at how their warm up is conducted….wow~terrible…..
