Well, maybe reservist units are not "permanent" in nature - ie.
the unit exist for 10 years of reserve service before stand down,
so no colours. There are always new units moving into reservist
each year, and old reservist units standing down each year as well
(unit numbers will change).
Also, Mindef may not want to show the full strength of the SAF
Orbat, assuming each unit has been given a colour.
Even so, during National Day, the football field will not be large
enough, if all representatives of each unit (including reservist)
present their colours to the president.
I think the present colours is good enough - we all know where we
originally did our fulltime NS.
