depends on whether you are army rp or air force rp..
if army, then congrats cause normally 8-5 and stay out..
if you kanna air force rp, you will have to go for fds course which is like re-bmt(3months?).. after you finish the course, you will be posted to any of the 3 airbases in singapore to be rp.. basically it is shift work between 2 groups, so you will stay in the base only 2 weeks in a month.. but good luck the course quite xiong..

4.5 airbases actually -> Tengah, Paya Lebar, Sembawang and Changi (East and West; technically one airbase but the 2 wings are 16km apart).

Might end up in Air Force School oso.

forgive me but i really think we should set up respective vocation FAQ sticky threads…rather than have fresh privates coming here every 4-5 months asking the same old qns. Agree/disagree?

heard that RP will have only on and off duty periods but no public holidays and sundays. if suay suay on duty on public holidays and sundays will they be off in lieu?
and the first 2 weeks issit confinement?

Kanji Camp RPs has the best live i heard. 8 to 5 with no night duties at all from what i understand. correct me if i’m wrong.

night and weekend duties are relegated to guard duty personnel. day duties are also relegated to day guard personnel. basically all they do is sit inside the office and exchange pass for people, open gates for pedestrians and supervise the day guards.

triple 9 is currently their favourite show.

Jurong Camp the system also quite similar, whole day the guards and guardcom will man the guardhouse, the strength of the RPs there is only 2 or 3 from what i understand.
