Welcome 8 Signals, Our Very Own
System Managers
from armynewsInteractive
7 October saw the inauguration of 8th Signal Battalion, with MAJ Ng
Chad-Son as its Commanding Officer. Chief Signal Officer, COL Lee
Shiang Long, was the witnessing officer for this.
8th Signal Battalion will play a key role in the Army's High
Readiness Core, providing C4 support for a spectrum of forces. It
manages the Army's Command and Control Information Systems (CCIS)
and networks. By leveraging the latest commercial-off-the-shelf and
military technologies and harnessing the IT skills of the new
generation 3G soldiers, 8 Signal Battalion will fuse the power of
technology with our Human Capital to accelerate the realisation of
IKC2 capabilities in the 3G Army.
