Rockhound SG my over the weekend method was.... apply a generous amount of kiwi on boot...let it set overnite... if u impatient...can use brush...but dun press brush...let the edge of the bristles do the work.... if u patient..use cotton wool...add water...and use circular movements....add very small amounts of kiwi on wool till shine... my chiong sua boots could shine in like 5mins though...i think cos parade boots arent as seasoned...
bismarck SG haha my platoon got loads of those expert polishers. was pondering over using those hand held polishing machines, got this brush or sponge attached to a small electric motor.
Gackt247 SG Aiyo.. i have a headache as to how to PERMANENTLY get rid of fungi growth on the exterior surface of my rarely-worn parade boots. How?
Gordonator SG use liquid kiwi also can, but the shine only last for 1 day. but i don’t really recommend it, as i find it will damage you boots. wax kiwi is still the best.
vIn.Warrior SG Abstain from keeping your boots in damp moist places. After wearing your boots for a parade, do allow the air inside to flow and ensure the inside of the boots are dry before keeping them somewhere. Also ensure the whole surface of the exterior boots is clean dry before keeping them. These are some of the preventive measures to cut down the growth of fungi.
Rockhound SG how to get the leather to be damn soft?./...i bought the super old all-leather SAF boots that was issued abt 10 plus years ago…
Rockhound SG yeah...1st hand ones are kinda hard to find but found them anywaes....40bucks...wanted another chiong sua boot....and i have a falling out with my goretex ones...ehehhehe..i found the old ones are pretty good and light.....just want them to be softer on the ankles.. oh yeah....and the shine on them......wooooooooooooooo
Gordonator SG this type? or the pimpled one? cos u mention 10 years ago, this one below is still issued until early 2003.
Gordonator SG 40 bucks? 2 years i checked at beach road is $75, few months back is $65. its getting cheaper and cheaper. anyway, because it's leather, u'll need to season it before it become comfortable. wearing it for a week will do the trick.
Zooish SG Which type of parade boots you talking about? The hard toe cap one (with metal plates on the sole) or standard issue boots? If its the former use kilat, but need a bit of skill to make it even. If its the latter then regular kiwi and hand power can liao.
