Well, we do get appreciated, but only a handful of people. Our
own base residents...ok lah, I won't say they are f**ked up. Lets
put ourselves in their shoes.
Every morning you come to work, but must queue long long, and see
the black faces of the RPs/Sea Soldiers/FDS guys. You put your bag
through the machine and they saw you have a cam phone and say you
have to declare it. Sure not happy one mah.
*I seriously wonder...its SAF directive no cam fones in camps. Why
the residents cant cooperate?
Back to topic...not happy is confirm. Then the residents start
scolding us, asking us this and that. Not one time they will say
that 'Oh, you are doing your job. You got no choice.'
Its like...security jobs always get looked down most. No matter
what we do. If anything happens to the base we die first, no one
appreciate our job. What to do?
But its kinda experiencing to be in such unit, cox you get to see
the real side of many Singaporeans..=P
