my entire ns stint gave me good memories. but yeah, my days in OCS were more memorable. those instances of being tekan-ed together, enjoying a peaceful time cooking maggie mee under the moonlight while harbouring at night out field in ROC, uncontrolled navex at peirce, ROC and Lancer, JCC, commissioning parade rehearsals, nights off eating at the cadet mess canteen, etc...

Field camp in 1993 January somewhere in ulu mandai area. Heavy rain and we r having our lunch. Standing in the opening area wifout any trees/shelter. Holding our mess tin, die die must finished eating whatever in our mess tin. That included the rain waters mix wif our rice/vege. While all 3rd-Sgt/SSG/2Lt/Lt lookin at us( recruits) laughing loudly.

I just feel that in BMT was my best of the best memories i can ever have.....the Unity...one for all, all for one....(Well, a couple or two are not so...anyway, fcuk him)...

Especially smokers, the unity's so damn strong...it's really One For All, All for One...

Road-March- The Unity of helping out one another to go thru the journey...

SOC- Racing against one another, especially to compete n see who's the fastest to clear the Jacobs Ladder..

Live-Firing- The session of waiting for your turn to shoot: Toking cok & eating tibits...dunno why that time i like Snickers so much...now..yucks..

BIC/BAC/Field camp: Commanders pour water on dry mud to make it more muddy n order us to crawl over; Sleeping on muddy n puddles of water during field camp; "White ghosts" during field camp;

I always loved stargazing, especially when I was Guard Comd.The little carpark infront of my guardroom was a nice place to just sit and gaze at the stars, and once or twice, some astronomy-minded guard would just come by and we would end up arguing over what constellation it was.

Watching SG Idol in the canteen of BMTC 1, during my recourse days.SSM came over and made a bet with us over who would win, but he and the "council" of CSMs later left, because they needed to observe the 24km POP march downstairs..

Now that's privilege, esp when you go back to Tekong not as rank privates but as 3SGs with appointments Laughing
