S'pore Govt blocking Torrent sites?

Ijust read thenpaper a few weeks ago, and or check the webistes news about sg govt going to block torrent sites like The Pirate Bay and Kick Ass Torrent. Why is it that so?

I mean come on, yes ppl hosted pirated games but that games is not fully available content like MP(Multi player) only has SP (Single Player), well thats for poor people who cant afford. If the wealthy people downloads it, if they want mp, they gotta support the devs by buying original. Or the middle income people save some money, they can choose their favourite games and buy to support devs too.

Even the PS3,XBOX360,PS4,and xbox1 games are not full content and clear quality like originals. but yet enjoyable, to enjoy full contents and to have clearer qualities, they buy original and support devs.

Well its a sad things for the poor and middle income people

FYI, I download because i lost my disc, sell my disc to my friend or give him. Disc has scratches on it , unplayable. miss some of the old games. lazy to buy new one , cant afford, or shop has no stock.

I don't support pirated games.

Games are a want [entertainment], not a need. I am currently a design technology student and I need softwares like SolidWorks to model and test my products, and it cost THOUSANDS. YES, one single software cost more than my laptop which supports it.

And I am not lying to you.

okay i've found a student edition here. still very expensive to me.

For me im 50 50. Half support genuine and half support pirated games/softwares. For me I download them to try out whether theyre gud. If gud, I buy original try full feature. Well of course, after u dl and install games/softwares. A msg will pop up ssying "if u like it buy the game support dev." Surely encourage ppl to buy genuine

real story moe never mail letter or lost it purposely because of bias to a friend of mine. in 2012 during a teaching interview right from the start, my friend was was fiercely scolded by 2 female interviewers, 1 is a kar nar sai bor lan eng vice principal and another also a kar nar sai bor lan eng principal, and the hr aunty also kar nar sai bor lan eng.

they kept assasinating and insulting relentlessly my friend’s character and results as if they were doing a police investigation.

then moe never sent out letter for the interview outcome for nearly 3 months after the interview. my friend emailed to check and their then female recruitment manager insisted they had sent out letter. my friend disputed that and suggested can co-operate to check with singpost. moe then sent a duplicated letter with a duplicate chop on it. but the original copy of the interview outcome letter was never delivered. its either singpost failed to deliver (they were fined this year by govt for lost mails and non-delivery in cna news) or moe staff intentionally and purposely never sent to singpost. spore citizens pay these civil servants salary yet they cant even do a simple task properly and still bias against own people if they think interviewees are not local nus ntu smu and etc graduates or not govt scholars cant enter the elite team. very simply if they are potential scholars, have to treat them well as one day they might become their own superior. if you’re not, then moe wont even want waste time sent you letter save envelope and stamp money but arent we citizens paying for all these what a joke man moe.

Nope games to cool off school stress are a need. That is your problem if you can't afford the originals together with this nonsensical software we students from other more-recognised and more-important faculties clearly don't have any uses for.

Oh the student edition is also too expensive. Keep finding and begging then.
