palmerised SG Okaaaaaaay stupid question. If I get sent to BMTC for my NS, is there any chance of me getting into commandos after that? Going in in about 2 weeks.
palmerised SG Nope nope I'm not thinking of signing on. So how? Cannot ah. Then how about guards? Do I still have a chance?
Fatum SG i've a civllian loh ! .... kisses pinkie IC ...... but not so bad for you guys now lah ... now 2 years army already right ?
geran76 SG the chances of going CDO is very slim.. as you have passed out from BMTC.. but some selected people do go to CDO after their pass out in BMTC..
Gedanken SG What with the way they're changing things these days, I don't know what your odds are these days, but in my day NS men only went to CDO after finishing their BMT at Hendon.
palmerised SG So I shouldn’t really put my hopes on getting into Cmd yeah.. Well okay how bout guards?
Fatum SG not sure about that ... got to ask any guardsmen over here .... though i believe they have their own mono intake as well .... but seriously, you know what i think the best combat vocation is ? ... Armour !!! .... no need to walk at all .... when you're trotting along the road in tekong early one morning and an ABG passes by you'll know what i mean ...
SMAPLionHeart SG Yeah right, i heard one guy who died after his tank overturned. his head was sticking out of the tank when it happened , then it overturned, so you can imagine what happened to his head when xx tons of weight is acting on it. i rather not be in armour, if go into armour , i go convert my religion
jian86 SG woo that's disgusting anyway accidents sure happen sometimes during training so just hope that its not the worst
Fatum SG yes, of course, but you never hear about the cooler boxes they have inside their vehicles, stocked with coke, ice-cream, fresh fruits and fresh rations ..... face damm green when i hear all this from my armour friends .... best of all you don't have to WALK !!! ....
iveco SG Not only that. Armour troops carry the carbine. It weighs comparatively less and is not as cumbersome. Think they also use it for SOC.
