Wah lao. Like that almost every infantry, guards or cdo on the sharp end (not the clerks, drivers, etc) qualify to wear lah.

Does this mean they will be issuing to everyone; Regular, NSmen and OR NSmen?

Patrik SG

So far only seen officers with it.
Also applicable to regulars.

iveco SG

Maybe aome Armour personnel may qualify, provided they meet the criteria. Neutral

Gordonator SG

infantry cadets. heard that ASLC specialists are also eligible for the badge. basically anyone from combat formations who sign up for the course and pass can get it. COA and cheif of 9div/infantry BG Winston Toh also has it.

Why do they spend so much effort trying to motivate the officers? Shouldn't they be spending more time motivating the men?

Officers are supposed to be selected due to their leadership, ability and "higher motivation" already.

Would be nice if they find ways to motivate the men more.

Remember once when active, was on guard duty, one officer came up to me and question me for long time why I qualified to wear the TKD blackbelt badge (not issued anymore), he super jealous. Gave me hard time about it. Later on, OC told him I qualified to wear it, so what's his problem. CSM laugh at him.

Gordonator SG

other then infantry, guards and commando junior officers, junior officers from the rest of the formantions also no badge what. Laughing

cdo got airborne badge while the gds got their own guards tab...but infantry got nothing to show.haha

insouciant SG

Does this mean they are issuing it to all infantry... Somehow I don't think so. Otherwise you won't just see the smug officers wearing it.

But seriously on this topic, they should do more to raise the esprit de corps of the infantry.

Gordonator SG

one need to sign up for the course. be proven medically fit to take the course and of course, most important u need to pass it. Laughing
