alan- SG i read from the transitlink site that needs to be applied through our own camp.. is that true? cos i thk by the time my unit process for me, im abt to ord liao
Gordonator SG by saying if your unit process it for you, you'll be abt to ord liao, are u saying that your unit will take a long long time to do it, as in a metaphor? or are u seriously going to ORD soon?
CKtalon SG By right it just takes a month or 2 to get the card..The admin side of ur unit could be more efficient than watever department/coy u are at..
Ponders SG by right it takes 6 weeks... that's the time as stated in the official circulars. ANYWAY.... it is part of the standard issue items to newly enlisted personnel from june 2005 onwards but disgruntled clerks and a totally disorganised admin system usually caused a delay. the classic example is... admin spec submits a nominal role with required info to HQ. HQ rejects it because date is not in the ddmmyy format. admin spec sleeps on it as changing the format on hundred plus names is a chore. HQ pesters spec... spec finally changed it. Spec re-submits to HQ. HQ missed the submission dateline... waits for next opening. application submitted... process goes thru ez-link. card ready... delvered to HQ. HQ too busy to distribute..... eventually forgot. some NSF in the unit keeps asking why it takes so long. HQ remembers that box containing ez-link. HQ passes box to admin spec. admin spec too busy. admin spec finally handsover to end-user............ total time.... 6 months.
