does our ladies really understand about NS?

it seems like many of the singaporean girls like to complain here and there on their male counterparts. they doesn't seem to be appreciate their male counterpart's efforts and sacification in protecting n servicing the country

do you think that our females really understand about NS? or should the government make them compulsory to serve NS (but not in combat)?

i agree that even our guys dont seem to understand or agree on the necessity of NS. maybe the girls might have even gotten the impression from other guys around them. (father, uncles, coleagues etc)

I dun even appreciate the fact that I am serving together with thousands of others..because I dun believe SAF can fight a war..so I dun blame the girls to think that way..I even promote the idea among the girls.. Laughing

It's better to know the truth than blindly and stupidly thinking we are safe. With the 1st artillery shot landing on SG ground, together comes panic and chaos..
I'd rather pray that no war ever comes to SG while we continue our wayang show known as deterrence..

It depends who SAF is fighting against and the reason of the agressor..
If the agressor were to be a seek and destroy type coz we did something wrong..(I'm not talking nukes here) A few arty shots would cause pretty large damage on SG ground..
Even if the oppressor is suppressed and we win, we would have 'lost' the war coz our economy and infrastructure is gone..u get the idea?

If it were a take over plan..SAF may have a chance due to the superiority of it's technology..and not necessary training..
I question the operational ability of reservistsnot NSFs

SAF is doing a good job with deterrence with NS (read large force) and display of technological equipment..so no qualms about that

What pisses me off is that the girls seems to think NS is a real walk in the park because eg. BMTC looks like a resort. I would like to see some of them spend 2 nights trying to dig a fire trench by candle light, only to be told on the third day to fill it back in. I would like to see some of the girls having a walk about in the vincinity of Lim Chu Kang with burst blisters covering their foot. I would like them to show the medic their feet only to be told by the medic that there is nothing much he can do. The girls do not understand the oppurtunities we have given up in order to do our duty as citizens. 2 years is a long time. You can get/almost get a degree in 2 years. You can evev qualify for entry into a number of professional bodies in 2 years.

I am not even asking them to reward us with liberal amounts of gratuitous sex...i am just asking them to let us be. Maybe all NSF/NS soldiers/policemen/Firefighters should take a one week strike and let the nation burn itself to the ground. Evil or Very Mad

you should understand SAF's war readiness and doctrine first before passing negative comments blindly.

i agree with you that most men have no pride in serving NS. as such how can we expect the ladies to appreciate?

we go outfield, sleeps in tunnel, grounds and benches in training shades without proper bed, urinate n SHIT on the grass, never bath and changing clothes in the entire 4 days 3 nights outfield, eating combat rations, cooking maggi mee using solid fuel etc, can those s'pore ladies who keeps complains against guys understands that? can they do it?

wonder how many of them will cry if NS is made compulsory for those female citizens
