I am seriously thinking of signing on as a Guards officer or a
naval officer,either that or joining the Police SOC.
Could anyone please advise me on the general lifestyle I could
expect serving as
i)A Guardsman
ii)Police Officer.
I wish to sign on because I feel it is a good profession that gives
back to society,especially the Police profession.
From what I know,the police profession is more project-oriented due
to having to handle different cases,and each day you do routine
work,and that it is highly structured.
I have heard that being a Regular in the SAF is more highly
structures and competitive than being in the Police,plus it is more
challenging physically and mentally,but in the long term very
routine.
Can anyone please corrent me on any misconceptions and provide me
more information?
