Changes to Remedial Training System ?

Hi,

I have a feeling that SAF is going to make changes to the RT system. Nowdays, when you go and sign up for RT online, they ask you to fill up a survey form.

I think perhaps the number of NSmen who failed their IPPT is on the increasing trend and SAF is going to do something abt it.

Anyone got any info. on this ?

this whole birthday window system is pointless..... wonder which genius thought of it...... the only good that came out of it is that it allowed NSmen to book their own IPPT at the FCCs.....

under the current systems, is twice a week for the first month. If at end of first month still fail, must go for 2nd phase, that is 3 times a week.

I am wondering if you are really busy at work, can ask the employer to write a letter to exempt you for RT ?

RT are for ppl who is in manager level and above where it more easier for them to leave at 4:30 to get ready, book in by 5:30 for RT which start at 6.

well for those work hours fix at 8 to 5 or 6. ya ya ya... some will say just pass the IPPT and get over it... try talk to your boss when you need to go RT for 2 mth.

whatever changes, it not going to please everyone but the least they can do is to please the majority.

IPPT, I feel is a stupid way to judge a man's fitness. In modern warfare, fitness doesnt play any part anymore. BRAIN and MODERN TECHNOLOGY play the most important part.

Come on SAF, scrap the IPPT, its killing all SILLYPOREAN!

You still need to run and dash for cover so that you can crawl into a bunker and set up your laser designator, which you have lugged for kms, so that your friendly neighbourhood CAS can drop some bombs.

No need for fitness?Then get yourself to PES C and below.An unfit combat soldier is more of a liability than us PES C pukes.

When I took my IPPT test at Maju, heard from the PTI CSM that they are doing a survey about a new RT format called Voluntary RT or something.

In which you come back voluntary for 4 or 8 weeks of RT sessions, no pay/allowance.

You are able to choose the date and time of your preference and complete all session within the time frame.

After complete, will counted as completing your IPPT obilgatioin, even if you did not pass your IPPT.

I totally agree with you.. who cares if you can jump far away, in war time, if you can jump far and run fast.. it only proves u will escape faster and be a deserter...

Now in modern days Sillypore, where got time to train for IPPT de. I have to take up 2 jobs sometimes ( day time job and a part time during the nite ). Off days are spend with family......so stress up where to find mood and energy to run here jump there corect?

But for SAF regulars lah. They whole day in camp, once free can go jogging after 4pm. But in a civilian company, try go jogging after 4pm and see wat your boss says..... Rolling Eyes
