when i in mrt or bus stops, also see army ppl.. boots not polished..laces loose, uniform running out of color, smoking.. dyed hair

Can't really blame the NCC kids you know, they come into contact with NSFs more often than regulars. Very often, the standard they see can commonly be found on some of the more heck-care kind of NSF.

Despite the fact that many NS guys are equally guilty of slack uniform dressing, the poor NCC cadets are easier to scold (just kids what...). Like that a bit bad right? Embarassed

Actually i've heard that about 70% of NCC cadets end up being a Specialist or an officier.

And what's wrong with a driver having an airborne badge. It isn't physically difficult to get that badge nowadays. The difficulty is purely logistic - There are few places available for NSFs.

hm.. why the trouble of having enforcement and punishment, when it is much easier just to disallow wearing of the uniforms in public? really, who would go and "catch" these cadets, and go to the trouble of reporting to the school? if the NPCC cadets are disallowed from wearing their uniforms in public, why not the NCC cadets? any particular reason or requirement?

SAF off duty.. can wear no.4, no.3 rite?

anws cos i'm frm ncc myself, most of those who cant really put on a decent uniform are those sec1 kids who jus got their uniform, kinda like getting used to it..

you shouldnt compare with adults who are working as police or soldiers or serving NS. even though typically there is no requirement for them to be in uniform, it is generally acceptable since they are working full-time.

however, if the NPCC cadets can change out of their uniforms after their ECA, why cant the NCC cadets? this is really to uphold the uniform and the image of the armed forces, which im sure if you are an NCC cadet proud of your ECA and your turnout will agree with.
