by the way, the Croatian RT-20 fires a 20x110mm Hispano round
and the South African Mechem NTW-20 fires either the 20 x 83.5 mm
MG151 or the20 x 83.5 mm MG151 round, and all the 3 rounds are also
bigger and more powerful than the .50.
and then there are a whole hosts of .50 and 12.7mm chambered
rifles. And some of the 12.7mm rounds are not the standard
equivalent of the .50 BMG, instead, they're the more powerful 12.7
x 108mm rounds.
so the Barret, awesome as it is, is hardly the most powerful,
longest range or highest piercing power rifle in the sniping class.
although it currently holds the longest confirmed kill at almost
2km, reportedly made by an IDF sniper.
