Gordonator SG ok i must admit, i wear my engineer PT kit for my weekly run in my neighbourhood. it's the best piece of running attire i have. at least it's better then the grey army singlet right?
wuming78 SG where do you live? anyway i think its valid, esp since the new pt kit is of higher quality and more suited for physical activities than the grey singlet.
deathscythe99 SG I very afraid to wear army stuff out during running....cos ppl will look @ u running sia...more stressed.
wuming78 SG dont think so lah. its rather common in singapore mah. mabbe its you who become oversensitive when you don army stuff in public.
LazerLordz SG Haha, thats very true.In fact, it’s very common. No big deal to use the running kit to run.Logical right?
cornyfish2000 SG Depends on the attire in question lar.. prepare to be gawked at and criticized if u go jogging in, say, OCS or PTI attire.
wuming78 SG again the question is why the double standard lor. anyway i always wear the ocs singlet to run near my home. and no, i dont attract the attention of passers-by.
Gordonator SG i live in the west. anyway the new army PT kit is not so eye catching as say, the OCS, PTI and grey army singlet. which reminds me, last year during the army half marathon, a lot of army personals wear the new PT kit and took the MRT to city hall. what a sight.
Zooish SG For the benefit of uninitiated swakoos like myself, wat's the colour of the new PT kit? I'm sure i've seen it, just that i don't recognize it.
wuming78 SG the new army pt kit, meaning the one where the different formations have their own colour combinations rite? (e.g. your combat engineer is the mostly black with bits of yellow)
cornyfish2000 SG Haha... double standard definitely not from me! Anyway not being a good runner, i dun wear army attire when jogging in public, cos scared i'll malu myself.. Now all my army attire is stinking in the cupboard and turning yellow liao..
Gordonator SG i make a typo mistake in my post above. i live in the west. anyway the new army PT kit is now so eye catching as say, the OCS, PTI and grey army singlet.i meant to say "is not so eye catching as" instead of "is now so eye catching as".
Gordonator SG there was this new lifeguard in my unit justed posted in. everyday he will book in and book out in the bight yellow lifeguard shirt with bright red "SAF LIFEGUARD" at the back. luckily he carries a backpack with him so not so obvious when walking in public. man, he must really be proud to be a lifeguard.
gnoik SG To becum a lifeguard is not easy! So hao lian a bit lar. Btw lifeguard = pass out from SISPEC?
