Ummm... happened to me !
Cut story short, in one of my previous job, the RSM from my NSF unit became one of the security supervisors looking after company security. Junior to me in the hierarchy.

Actually my story was in another thread. But in summary....

I did not know him well. I was a PS but my camp was big... Nee Soon. Did BOS duty and as usual , you get the morning brief from the RSM on what are the outstanding tasks for the day.

When I came back from my uni studies, it was 3 years since I left NS. From his perspective, he had probably seen many sgts. come and go. It took him sometime to kind of remember who I was.

Quite true..Haha.If I found out that my RSM was working in the same company as me, we would have many stories to share.I was on quite good terms with him Very Happy

Actually more important to get along with the PC and OC during NS. The RSM, for a large camp, you only get to see him on duty days, and sometimes at the senior NCO mess (before the new rank system). Duty days… just be on the ball for the 24 hours and you will be alright. In the mess, everyone is actually relaxed, at least in my time, none of the WOs pulled rank. Anyway, they had more money than us NSF troops, so we don’t drink and mess with them too much. Less interaction… less problem!
