The overseas medal ribbon is blue with 2 yellow vertical streaks in the centre. There's a picture of the medal in the SAF publication "shoulder to shoulder" on pg 136 Very Happy

Interesting to see that the NS 12 year service award is slightly different.

I got the 5 year medal after 4 years of high key ICT. Till this day, neither our RSM or CO (both regulars) could explain the exact conditions a reservist must meet in order to get this. Anyone knows the "rules"?
