was at my skool gym...a guy came in with OCS polo...did bicep curls with 2.5kg dumbell...

i was like.... Shocked .....whispering to my fren...wah...OCS(not meaning to insult u officers..but the scene was quite funny)...very strong leh....he even brought the army green towel...i was like..sure or not this one officer??...

Used to wear jungle hat during Lancer and Platoon FC, and the camou scarf... Now wearing green beret, Cool

I got the Logistics and the HQ AMS PT attire.LOL.Gordonator is a NSF.Don't think a regular would love sitting in the Pass Office. Razz

I wonder if they booked out in vest slack or they deliberately dressed like that from home.. Either way, this just goes on to show a total lack of discipline on the part of the individual. Confused

Personally now that i'm back to civilian life, the only SAF item i wear now is my old pair of New Balance shoes when i go jogging, the one that was issued when i enlisted back in '00 (the white with blue New Balance patches on the sides).
Was quite amused at AOH '04 when a PTI showed that shoe model to me as one of the relics from the army's past.. Laughing

I still wear the blue and white No Balance for running sometimes. Quite crummy already, but its well-seasoned and really comfortable.

I've collected the SAF running shoe series, from the blue and white NB, to the yellow and white NB, red and white NB and the new Brooks.

Heard there was a limited edition Mizuno one that i didn't get Laughing

I'm also guilty of wearing the white RSAF polo tee to run errands sometimes Embarassed

Oh, so now they've even replaced the red and white NB shoes? Shocked Looks like SAF is really undergoing a major transition/makeover man... so many changes in such a short span of time.. ha.

I already sense a generation gap even though i'm not that laojiao..

Yah, tell me about it. I've ord for only about a year and already they've replaced all the kits - literally from head to toe; Helmets, SBO, boots even the duffle bag has been replaced by a luggage bag with wheels. Now recruits look like stewardesses boarding a flight, dragging their luggage along Mr. Green

Hiyah, shouldn't have thrown away that pair of NB which I got when I enlisted in late 1999...Although there's a hole in the toecap area already...The SAF seems to be completely replacing their kits...

Yup, although it does make alot more sense to have these conveniences thrown in, i think its quite a pity that they've done away with something (the ali baba bag) which has characterised national service since its inception, if u look at all the old photos. Wink

Not to mention that the new luggage bag on wheels looks... damn gu niang.
