SBJ easy wot...tuck jumps...and plyometrics
jump arh...
plus remember to stretch..the more flexible ure lower half is...the easier it is...

I don't really train for my SBJ. I blive in getting the technique right.
Stand before the line, aim far, bend your knees a little, swing your arms and lift off when you are ready. Do not jump if you are not comfortable with your stance.

I have seen pple taller than me but struggle at the SBJ station. Neutral

so i assume he is not enlisted yet...3 times per week for a family man is quite siong man... when i was pre enlist...running everyday is like a walk in a park man...btw...i will be taking ippt within this month at Khatib Camp...will share my experience then... Smile

bro, time management. Easy said than done. Sad

I ran about 5 times per week, hit the gym 4 times a week, 1 swim per week as an average. and i am have no confident to retake my IPPT. Sad Sigh...must make damn sure i can run below 10mins for 2.4km before going for it again. Wink

Just wanna make sure can definitely get the GOLD when i go and take the test. Therefore training runs should do it under 10mins to give myself some buffer. Wink

true true...seeing ur training schedule...less than 3 weeks u can get $400 richer liao....getting gold is definately one of my goal before i ROD...well still trying to make 2.4 timing though... Mr. Green

correction, i will hope to get additional $200 richer, since this year cycle i have taken the test(twice) last year. 1 just after my BD, another during my ICT last year. Getting Gold is a high possibility for me, but i want to do it under 10mins before taking the test.

Most probably attempt IPPT again in April. Feb and March schedule too tight to focus on 2.4km. Wink

Finally, I took my IPPT at the Home of the Guards aka Bedok Camp II this evening. I think this FCC is the most well organised, or put it this way, there's no shortcuts or loop holes. Can you imagine for 2.4 km run, they dispatch just 5 guys at a time every 30 seconds? Btw, the point is I got GOLD! Yeah! It's cat f**kin Y1 gold wrapped in delicious Guards tab!!! Here's my results, hope it will inspire some especially reservists in their 30s...

Situp - 37
SBJ - 250 cm
CU - 10
SR - 9.8 secs
2.4 - 9m 41 secs
